E-mail Print PDF
Russia’s role in the Turkish-Armenian process will grow, director of the Caucasus Institute Alexander Iskandaryan told Tuesday.

"Russia's role in the process is growing due to the expansion of its contacts with Turkey, particularly in the area of the housekeeper," said Iskandaryan.

He stressed that Russia and Turkey are becoming the countries contacting in the issue of normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations.

The expert said that the role of the world powers in the Armenian-Turkish process is extremely high. And if the US is the driving force of the process, the position of Russia is not so apparent today. Thus, in his opinion, if Russia did not want to, the Armenian-Turkish process would not advance, because Russia had the opportunity to block it.
