Head of the Herigate parliamentary faction Stepan Safaryan said that the US Congress will discuss but not adopt a resolution recognizing and condemning so called “Armenian genocide.”
He said this is because Turkey is trying to hamper the process of the international recognition of “genocide” making use of the importance of the Turkish-Armenian relations for the United States.
Safaryan also added that official Washington will not reject its strategic interests of weakening the role of Iran and Russia with the opening of the Turkish-Armenian border.
