4.5 percent of Armenia's trade turnover accounts for Turkey

Last year Armenia’s foreign trade turnover reduced by 27 percent as compared with the same period in 2008, making $4.2bn.

According to the Armenian National Statistical Service, foreign trade turnover with CIS countries fell by 21.7 percent totaling $1.183,6bn, whereas sales volume with EU states reduced by 37.3 percent reaching $1.211bn.

As of late 2009, 29.6 percent of commercial exchange accounted for the CIS countries (of which 22.5 percent - Russia), 30.3 percent - EU states, 7.6 percent - China, 6.5 percent - U.S. and 4.5 percent Turkey.

Armenia’s leading exporters are Germany, Russia and U.S.
