The Khojaly victims to be commemorated in Tehran and Tebriz.
The commemoration ceremony will be organized at the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran and consulate general in Tebriz in connection with the 18th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy.
The ceremony is expected to be attended by Iranian officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps and community.
The participants will be informed about the Khojaly tragedy and document materials, books and magazines will be distributed to them. Our martyrs will be commemorated at the event.
COLOGNE TO HOST A CONFERENCE ON KHOJALY GENOCIDE
On February 26, a conference on Khojaly genocide 10 years anniversary will be held in Cologne, Germany organized by World Azerbaijanis’ Congress (WAC), Azerbaijani Federal Democratic Movement and Azerbaijani Cultural Centre in Cologne.
WAC told APA that the management of WAC and Azerbaijanis living in different cities of Germany will attend the conference. Armenian violence against Azerbaijanis in Khojaly will be addressed in the conference. At the same time the loyal attitude of world society to this matter will be condemned.
On February 26, 1992, Armenian armed forces committed an unbearable violence in Khojaly with 7 000 of population, more than 600 killed, 1000 became disabled and 8 families were totally annihilated. 1275 civilians were hostages and destinies of 150 are still unknown.
