Organization for Fighting Against Baselesss Armenian Allegations (ASIMED) will send informative mail and CD’s about the atrocity of Armenians to the leading authorities and parlamentarians in the world within the frames of a new campaign.

Chairman of the executive board of ASIMED, Assistant Professor Doctor Savas Egilmez said that a large scale defamation campaign against Turkish people is initiated in the international area. Stressing that Turkish people is exposed to attacks that conflict with the historical truths, Egilmez said that Turkey is not even allowed to make self defence.

Stressing that Armenian diaspora is responsible of this defamation campaign, Egilmez said that Armenian diaspora aims to benefit from these allegations and to keep Armenian community on the agenda of the World.

Egilmez said, "There are two points that explain how can Armenian diaspora be successful. The prejudice against Turkish people in Europe and United States and passivity of Turkey during the defamation campaign after 1960's.

Stressing that they will send the copies of the documents to members of the US Congress and Senate, non-governmental organizations, media representatives and to people, Egilmez said that ASIMED will try to fix the wrong stories told by Armenian diaspora. Announcing the target as sending 5,000 CD's and 50,000 e-mails, Egilmez said, "Citizens who want to support our activities may send e-mails to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Their messages will be translated into English and will be sent to the appropriate adresses."

Reminding that Armenians are getting prepared to hold commemoration ceremonies on April 24, Egilmez said, "They are urging World to recognize 24 April 1915 as the begining date of so called Armenian genocide. U.S. House of Representatives External Relations Committee plans to discusss genocide resolution in the next month. We only wish to end injustice and defamation against Turkish people."
