E-mail Print PDF
“The Turkish government has completely failed with its policy of rapprochement with Armenia.”

The leader of the Turkish nationalists has again voiced sharp criticism addressed to the government due to the policy of Turkish-Armenian rapprochement.

“The Turkish government has completely failed with its policy of rapprochement with Armenia,” said leader of the Turkish National Movement Party Devlet Bahceli, according to Hurriyet.

He said in 2005 they warned the government not to take any rapprochement with Armenia but they did not listen and therefore, they are now in such a difficult state."

“Why is Turkey reporting to the United States about its policy on Armenia and Cypriot Greeks? Where are the statements of the government that everyone takes our opinion into account? The government should not deceive us or itself, we see what happens well. And the fact that the prime minister accused the European parliament of blindness came too late. Everything should be done earlier, not now, when we are in such a situation,” Bahceli said.
