Today is 18th anniversary of Garadagli village invasion

Today is the 18th anniversary of invasion of Garadagli village, the region of Khojavend, by Armenia, APA reports.

On Feb.17 1992 Armenians invaded Garadagli village with the help of mercenaries and special regiment 366 in the region of Khojavend. 18 residents died from January till February 17 that year. About 80 of 117 hostages were killed. There are 6 missing people and 9 captives as a result of invasion. Local self-defense forces struggled till the end but were surrendered because no help came. Some of them were captivated by Armenian-Russian militants. 43 village residents were shot on the way to Khankend, some were thrown to the well, and covered with sand.

Garadagli is still under the occupation.
