Armenia sets trap against Turkey

E-mail Print PDF
The new approach of Armenia’s ruling Republican Party over Turkey-Armenia protocols is obvious.

Stating that ratification process will not progress in a parallel wayin Turkey and Armenia, Nikoyan said that process will be delayed if Armenia waits for Turkey to ratify the protocols. Stressing the importance of the initiation of process of ratification of protocols in the Armenian parliament, Nikoyan said that it would be better if Armenia ratify protocols, taking the initiative.

On the other hand, there are reports in the agencies about statements of Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan in England, in which Sarksyan had said that Armenia will ratify protocols after the ratification of protocols in Turkish Parliament. And now, another official from the same party makes a conflicting statement. The aim of Yerevan administration is obvious. They want to create such an atmosphere that Armenian Parliament is in the mood of ratifying protocols so that the West can increase pressure on Ankaratoward ratification of protocols.

Yerevan expects so called Armenian genocide resolution in the Foreign Affairs Committee of U.S. House of Representatives and Barack Obama’s speech on April 24 to strengthen its position. The statements of Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan, in which he said that Armenia expects Obama to recognize so called Armenian genocide, is a part of the trap that Armenia had set.
