William Burns discussed OSCE Minsk Group’s activity with Turkish officials

Undersecretary of the United States Department of State, William Burns held talks in Turkish capital province of Ankara as part of his regional tour, APA reports citing Haberler.com.

According to APA, William Burns held talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Foreign Minister’s spokesman Firidun Siniroglu and Turkish Armed Forces Vice Commander Aslan Guner, conducting discussions on strategic cooperation between USA and Turkey which is held once a year on the spokesman level since 2006.

During Burns’s talks in Ankara, issues such as Iran’s nuclear program, US support to Turkey-Armenia rapprochement, struggle against terrorism, joint cooperation in Afghanistan and Iraq, other regional and international issues pertaining to Turkey and the U.S. were discussed.

“We have a common responsibility of finding solutions together in struggle with global challenges and regional issues we face today”, he stated.
