“This is called Armenian slyness. Armenians violated ceasefire in various directions and uninterrupted shooting occurred on February 18, but they try to misrepresent this fact,” spokesman for Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-ColonelEldar Sabiroghlu said.

Commenting on Armenian media reports that the ceasefire was not violated by Armenia and no loss was recorded on February 18, Eldar Sabiroghlu added:

“Armenia has been accustomed to tell lies. It acts the same way. They hide their losses. The main reason is that they beware of the people. The distrust in the army is growing. Therefore, Armenian military leadership tries to conceal even tiny failures on the front. They have rarely confessed something so far. Even the local TV channels, press have been banned from covering the funerals of their losses. Armenians try to misrepresent the fact that they violated ceasefire and uninterrupted shooting occurred on February 18. This is called Armenian slyness,” he said.

Eldar Sabiroghlu said actually the situation on February 18 was as follows:

“The shooting began in the afternoon and lasted till the evening. At 18.00 the losses were equal. Soon after that, the enemy was obliged to stop firing because of extra losses,” he said.
