E-mail Print PDF
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that the biggest problem for normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia is the Nagorno-Karabakh problem.

Erdogan replied the questions of journalists related to Turkey’s foreign policy following his speech at New Economic Forum in Spain. Stressing that the negotiations toward resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh problem are intensified lately, Erdogan said, “There will be problem in our parliamentrelated toratification of protocols unless this problem is notresolved. The signals we receive shows that.”

Prime Minister Erdogan stated that OSCE Minsk Group should find a fair solution to the problem. Erdogan said, “As fast as Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is resolved, problems between Turkey and Armenia will mostly be solved.” Reminding that 100,000 of 170,000 Armenians in Turkey are not Turkish citizens, Erdogan said, “We are not sending them back to they country considering that they have problems in there. They are guests in our country. This is our biggest gesture to Armenia.”
