E-mail Print PDF
Vice President of ATAA and member of Diaspora Advisory Board at the State Ministry of Turkish Republic, Ali Cinar stated that the efforts related to so called Armenian genocide resolution that is scheduled to vote at the Foreign Affairs Committee of U.S. House of Representatives on March 4, is being continued.Cinar called Turkish-Americans to support the campaign for protesting the H.Res. 252 by sending letters to the members of U.S. House.

Stressing that Turkish Coalition of America (TCA), Federation of Turkish American Associations (FTAA) and Assembly of Turkish American Associations (ATAA)are seriously engaged with the cause, Cinar called Turkish people to show their reaction against the resolution using the link below;

Stressing that the number of protest letters that are sent to the members of U.S. House of Representatives is not adequate despite the calls, Cinar said, “We should not remain insensitive to this issue.” Cinar said, “Making visits to the officials of State and media representatives related to the issue of so called Armenian genocide resolution is also very important. We cannot stay silent.Remaining silentis toward the interests of Armenians.”

Armenia intends to drive Turkey into a corner

Stating that it was surprizing for Armenian parliament to initiate discussions towards Zurich protocols despite the intensified pressure of Armenian diaspora in United States, Cinar said that Armenia intends to relieve the external pressure and make use of the situation that Turkey is in. “Although Armenia seems sincere to the World public opinion related to the protocols, it is clear to everybody that it does not mean Armenia will leave efforts towards international recognition of so called Armenian genocide,” said he.

Stating that Turkey should use the cards of the game properly, Cinar said that there will not be a final result in Turkey-Armenia process unless Nagorno-Karabakh problem and the issue of so called Armenian genocide is resettled. Stressing that Armenia intends to make operations in the text of protocols anddoing so to advertise Turkey as the country that withdraws from the protocols and therefore to contribute international recogition of Armenian allegations, Cinar said that Turkey is aware of the developments and will not fall into the trap of Armenia. < Prev   Next >
