Commemorating the victims of Khojaly genocide that were massacred by Armenian armed forces on February 26, 1992, Azeris of Uzbekistan reacted to the United States.
Azeris of Uzbekistan accused United States of America to ignore the massacre that is held against Azerbaijani people by Armenians in 1992. The victims of Khojaly genocide which were massacred by Armenian armed forces on February 26, 1992 commemorated in Tashkent in Uzbekistan. The ceremony started with a moment of silence for the memory of the victims of the massacre. Azeris of Uzbekistan reacted both to Armenians and to the states that ignore the massacre that happened before the eyes of whole World.
IT WAS ARMENIANS WHO COMMITTED A GENOCIDE
Stressing that the massacre that Armenians committed against innocent Azerbaijani citizens in Khojaly in 1992 was a genocide, Azerbaijani historian and journalist Kulu Kazimov said, “But unfortunately we are not very successful on reflecting this issue to the World public opinion. Briefly speaking, they do not recognize the Khojaly genocide. Europe does not recognize the genocide.” Reminding that 35,000 Uzbek peoplewere massacred by Armenians in 1918 in Fergana valley, Kazimov stated that Armenians are cheating the world with fabrication allegations related to so called Armenian genocide. “The real genocide was committed against Turkish people by Armenians,” said he.
The representative of Azerbaijanis of Uzbekistan Akif Anvaroglu stated that Khojaly massacre is a bitter page in the hearts of the Azerbaijani people. Anvaroglu said, “Armenians who massacred more than 600 Azerbaijani people, continue a defamation campaign against us. They were the one who committed a real genocide. The agenda of United States related to so called Armenian genocide resolution is the result of the efforts of Armenian lobbies.”
