Historians should deal with historical facts, while politicians must deal with the politics, Hulusi Kilic said.

Turkish ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary in Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic has voiced regret over the fact that the US Congressmen are not dealing with their business, saying “the historians should deal with historical facts, while politicians must deal with the politics.”

“The historical issues must be studied by historians, not politicians,” Kilic said while speaking to reporters Thursday, commenting on the planned discussed on the issue of “Armenian genocide” in the US Congress.

As for ratification of the Armenian-Turkish protocols, Kilic said the Turkish side does not care whether Armenians will ratify the protocols or no.

“Turkey has already expressed its position on this issue,” he said.
