US ambassador in Turkey: My country’s position is to make everything possible for normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations.

The US diplomat has again stated the importance of the Turkish-Armenian relations.

“I have never stated that the adoption of the resolution on ’Armenian genocide’ in the US Congress is a settled issue. The position of my country is to make everything possible for normalization of the Turkish-Armenian relations. This is our policy,” James Jeffrey, US ambassador in Turkey, told reporters, according to Hurriyet.

As for the recent arrests in Turkey, the ambassador announced that this is “an internal affair of the country, therefore, I will not comment on anything.”
