One of the major think-tank organizations in United States, RAND Corporation called President Barack Obama to prevent passage of so called Armenian genocide resolution.
RAND (Research and Development) Corporation called Obama administration to prevent passage of genocide resolution. Publishing a report titled “A Problematic Relation: Turkish-American Relations in the Era of Global Geopolitical Change,” the think-tank organization evaluated Armenian issue under two topics.
The report stresses that Turkey’s active policy towards normalizing its relations with Armenia is locked on “genocide” and “Karabakh” issues and reminds that former US President Bush’s administration had prevented a similar resolution in the Congress to avoid triggering a crisis between Turkey and United States.
The report also underscores that President Obama encouraged Turkey towards normalization of relations with Armenia and avoided to use word “genocide” during his visit to Turkey.
