E-mail Print PDF
An independent committee established in British House of Commons initiated discussions on the application of Armenians in England towards recognition of 24 April as “genocide” remembrance day in Britain.

Evaluating the application of Armenians related to recognition of April 24 for the first time in early January, committee will hold the second evaluation in March. English Parliamentarians Andrew Dismore and Jeremy Corbyn are among the supporters of the proposal.

The process that is on the agenda of the committee will also be held by the British House of Lords. In the case of approval of the application,it will be introducedfor the approval of Queen. If the Queen of England does not reject the proposal it will be legalized and so called Armenian genocide remembrance day will be officially recognized in Britain.
