Turkish FM Davutoglu to leave for Washington.

Every year the upcoming April 24 is a test in the US-Turkish relations, Zaman says highlighting that the Turkish diplomacy has launched intensive activity over preventing “unpleasant developments”, as it does every year at the threshold of April 24.

“We expect the [US] House Committee on Foreign Affairs to reject the Armenian Genocide resolution, which will harm relations between Turkey and the US and which will bring efforts for the normalization of Turkey-Armenia relations to a standstill,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

According to the source, FM Ahmet Davutoglu is due to leave for Washington shortly.
