US leading energy companies against so-called Armenian genocide resolution

Leading US and British arm and energy companies seeks lobbying to prevent hearing on so-called “Armenian genocide” resolution at the US Congress.


APA reports quoting the Associated Press as saying that US “Northrop Grumman”, “Raytheon”, ‘United Technologies”, “Goodrich” corporations, as well as British BAE Systems spent 14 million dollars within three months to lobby activities at the Congress regarding “Armenian genocide”, climate changes, tax cuts, hybrid technologies, technological researches. Energy giant Chevron also supports them. The United Technologies Corporation said for the US national interests and the development of international trade the House of Representatives was asked to vote against the Armenian draft.

Turkish Vatan newspaper reported that Lockheed Martin and Boeing were also against the Armenian project and addressed the chairman of House Committee on Foreign Affairs Howard Berman.
