Jeffrey: Congress should not have taken such a decision

The US ambassador in Turkey has commented on the adoption of the resolution on “Armenian genocide” by the Congress.

US ambassador in Turkey James Jeffrey announced that the “Congress should not have taken this decision”. “I am against this decision and I do not think it will promote the US-Turkish relations and Armenian-Turkish normalization process.

The US ambassador in Turkey arrived in the building of the foreign ministry where he was called due to the adoption of a resolution on recognition of the so-called “Armenian genocide” by the committee on international affairs of the House of Representatives of the US Congress.
