The United States conduct the imperialistic policy in the region but I do not think that by such actions they will be able to gain respect.
Deputy from the oppositional People’s Republican Party of Turkey Canan Aritman strongly condemned adoption of the resolution on the so-called “Armenian genocide” by the US Congress.
“We have warned and we have asked the working authorities not to sign anything with Armenia. This country has been used against us for already two centuries but the government has not only disobeyed but also ignored our calls. Meanwhile, now the great Turkey is pressed to the wall. When Ataturk started the great liberation movement, he was not dreaming of such Turkey. Today, a small amoral country Armenia is putting prerequisites to us. It is disappointing that we are in such a situation,” she noted.
