Voting in the Committee of Congress should be tragicomedy, instead of comedy

E-mail Print PDF
Voting in the Committee of Congress should be called not a comedy, but a tragicomedy, said on Saturday Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister of Turkey Bulent Arinc, Cihan news agency reported.

Committee on Foreign Affairs of the U.S. Congress adopted a resolution recognizing the so-called “Armenian genocide.” 23 congressmen voted for the adoption of resolution, 22 — against.

Stressing that this ballot has led to the unfortunate and laughable situations, he noted that in the Turkish parliamentary system such things can not happen.

“This decision is not the end of the world,” said Bulent Arinc.
