Washington may lose 'influence' in Turkic world

E-mail Print PDF
The opposition Adalyat party has made a statement condemning the adoption of the resolution on the so-called "Armenian genocide" in the US Committee.
News.Az reports with reference to the news service of the party that the adoption of this resolution affects the US image.

“The main priority for the United States seems the preservation of its interests rather than the protection of democratic values and fair position.

The Adalyat party considers that this decision which was taken under the influence of the political and financial support of the “Armenian lobby” will influence the US democratic image and also cause the loss of the influence of official Washington in the Turkic world.

The Adalyat party calls on Obama’s government to root out such concept as the so-called "Armenian genocide" from its foreign policy and keep it in the archive of the historical past.

The Adalyat party is presided by MP Ilyas Ismaylov. The Adalyat party was founded in 1993. In 1996 it united with the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan. In 2000 members of Adalyat separated from the Democratic Party restoring their activity. Adalyat has been led by Ilyas Ismaylov since 2001.
