OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Special Representative on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict Goran Lennmarker defined the protocols between Turkey and Armenia as “important.” “I believe that a real progress is possible,” said Lennmarker stressing that Turkey-Armenia borders should be opened.
Giving an interview to Trend News, Goran Lennmarker said that he keeps hope about resettlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in a year and said, “I have great expectations towards the existance of political will both in Baku and Yerevan for achieving progress in finding a peaceful and permanent solution to the problem”
Commenting on the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia, Lennmarker said, “I find the negotiations and the signed protocols between Turkey and Armenia very important. I believe that a real progress is possible.”
Stressing that the decision for making a step forwardwill be madeby the parliaments of Turkey and Armenia, OSCE PA Special Representatives on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict said that process will not contribute only Turkey and Armenia but all the countries in the region. Stressing that he does not see any obstacles for Turkish and Armenian people to establish neighbourly relations, Lennmarker said, “Closed bordersprevent development.”
