Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan threats Turkey of withdrawing Armenia from the signed protocols towards normalization of relations between two countries.

Making an official visit to Paris, Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan said, “If Turkey use the process of normalization of relations with different purposes, Armenia may withdraw from the protocols.”

Giving an interview to Le Figaro, Sarksyan said, “I am towards normalization ofrelations. But, the recent statements of Turkish officials show that Turkey is not going to ratify protocols in near future. We made our warning. If we see that Turks are using the protocols for different purposes, we respond appropriately and withdraw our signature from protocols.”

Criticizing Turkeyover bringing the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh on the agenda, Sarksyan said that Armenia will ratify protocols immediately after Turkish parliament does.

“Closed borders and preconditions for normalization of relations cannot be accepted in 21th century. Let’s establish relations first and then we can discuss all the issues,” said he.
