"Though Armenia wants to apply Kosovo precedent to Karabakh conflict, it is impossible"

E-mail Print PDF
“Kosovo precedent can not be applied to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict,” French co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group Bernard Fassier said at the NATO PA Rose Roth seminar in Yerevan, APA reports quoting Armenian media.

According to him, there is nothing common between Kosovo conflict and Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
“Kosovo is a conflict inside the country, Nagorno Karabakh is a conflict between two countries – Armenia and Azerbaijan. Moreover, there were international forces in Kosovo for long years, but there were not international forces in Karabakh,” he said.

Mediator considers that though Armenia wants to apply Kosovo precedent to Nagorno Karabakh conflict, it is impossible.
“Karabakh has not been recognized by any country of the world, including Armenia itself,” he said.
