It is reported that Armenians in United Kingdom also consider that resolution recognizes so called Armenian genocide will not be adopted by British House of Commons.
As English government officials told Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his visit to UK that they will not pass an Armenian resolution, Armenians of UK also consider that so called Armenian genocide resolution is not going to be passed from House of Commons.
Stressing that timing for so called Armenian genocide resolution is wrong, Cardiff Armenian Community leader John Torosyan said, “There will be elections soon and so there is not enough time for the resolution to be passed. This issue will be over as Parliament changes. Other than that, even if one Parliamentarian opposes to this resolution, the resolution will become caducous without any discussion. The probablity that any pro-Turkish parliamentarian does not oppose to the resolution is zero.”
According to the report of PanArmenian, Torosyan said that recognition of so called Armenian genocide will be possible only after establishment of a coalition government which will include Liberal democrats. Torosyan said, “On the other hand, even if Liberal Democrats come to power although it is not expected, they will probably just do the same which Obama did.”
