Parliamentarian from Republican People’s Party (CHP) Mustafa Ozyurek commented on the cancelation of U.S. visits of Turkish officials following the adoption of so called Armenian genocide resolution in the Foreign Affairs Committee of U.S. House of Representatives.
Issuing a parliamentary question, Ozyurek asked, “Will Turkey impose more efficient sanctions against United States other than recalling Turkey’s ambassador to Washington and cancelation of the visits of Turkish officials to United States?”
Ozyurek wanted Prime Minister Erdogan to reply following questions;
— Why the visit of State Minister Zafer Caglayan to US is canceled although Obama administration announced that so called Armenian genocide resolution that passed from Foreign Affairs Committee of U.S. House will not be brought on the agenda of General Assembly?
— Do you consider that efforts of Obama administration for preventing Armenian genocide resolution is sincere? Do you rely on their promises?
— Do you think of canceling your upcoming visit to United States? Will you assign someone else if you decide to not to attend World Nuclear Energy Summit in Washington?
— Will Turkey impose more efficient sanctions against United States other than recalling Turkey’s ambassador to Washington and cancelation of the visits of Turkish officials to United States?
