Minister of Defence Vecdi Gonul stated that they sent letters to the American defence companies including biggest companies of United States for them to press U.S. Parliamentarians related to so called Armenian genocide resolution. It is reported that Turkish-U.S. friendship and Turkey's importance for the U.S. was stressed in the letter.
Defence Minister said that they sent letters to the biggest companies including Boeing, Redhont Company and United Technology. Minister Gonul said, "Those companies sent letters to American Parliamentarians and leaders that stress importance of Turkey for United States."
