EU parliamentarian, Swedish Foreign Minister Bildt's spouse Anna Maria Corazza Bildt said that judging the history is not the job of politicians.
Joining State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan at a dinner that is organized by European Policy Centre (EPC) and TUSKON, Bildt said that she wants to comment on so called Armenian genocide resolution that was passed in the parliament of Sweden.
Anna Maria Corazza Bildt said, "I am sorry about the Armenian genocide resolution that is adopted in the Swedish Parliament. These are not the issues we should deal with. It should not be the job of historians to judge the history. We support normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia. We want the problem to be handled by two peoples."
Responding to the statements of Bildt, Babacan said, "Our basic intention is establishment of a joint committee of historians for analyzing 1915 incidents in accordance with the protocols that is signed between Turkey and Armenia. But intervention of third countries damages the process."
