Sweden May Vote Armenian Allegations Again

Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt stated that the opinion of Swedish government about so called Armenian genocide resolution that was passed in the Swedish Parliament has not changed and the resolution can be discussed again in the parliament by entering a motion.

Foreign Minister Carl Bildt stated that he hopes Turkish-Swedish relations will be normalized soon.

Making a visit to Turkish Youth Federation of Sweden, Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt once again expressed his disappointment on the decision of Swedish Parliament related to 1915 incidents.
Stressing that it is not true to make political decisions about incidents that happened 100 years ago, Bildt said that he thinks not about 1915 but 2015 for Turkey to be the member of EU in it.
Over a question, Swedish Foreign Minister stated that so called Armenian genocide resolution may be voted again next year in the parliament if a parliamentary motion is entered.
Stating that he hopes for Turkish-Sweden relations to be normalized soon, Bildt said that his political party did utmost to prevent passage of the Armenian bill.
