E-mail Print PDF
Making a speech at a conference in Konya, former head of Turkish Historical Society Yusuf Halacoglu stated that 80% of the members of terrorist organization PKK is Armenian.
Stressing that 80% of the members of PKK is Armenian although it is advertised to be Kurdish, Halacoglu said, "An atmosphere is created like whole Eastern and South-East Anatolia is Kurdish. Is it known how many Kurdish people are there in Turkey? Let's begin with PKK, which is not Kurdish. 80 percent of PKK is Armenian."
Giving space to the statements of Halacoglu, Armenian press presented the report as "A new gas by Turkish historian" and evaluated the statements of Halacoglu as "shocking".
