E-mail Print PDF
Azerbaijani embassies abroad and Diaspora organizations have arranged a series of events to commemorate 31 March — Day of genocide committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis in 1918.

An event was organized by the Azerbaijani Society in Dubai during which participants saw a documentary featuring terror acts committed by Armenians against Azerbaijani, Turkish and other peoples.

Speakers at the event said over the last 200 years more than 1 million Azerbaijanis were brutally killed by Armenians.

It was noted in accordance with an order signed by national leader Heydar Aliyev, every year 31 March is marked as the day of genocide of Azerbaijanis.

The speakers described the March events as savagery against the humanity.

The event participants were handed over books, CDs and brochures on the tragedy.

Azerbaijani embassies and Diaspora organizations in various countries will stage rallies to protest the 31 March genocide.

Diaspora organizations in Germany will prepare materials on the Armenian atrocities against Azerbaijanis, Turks, Jews and other nationalities.

On April 24, the day Armenians mark anniversary of the so-called genocide, representatives of the Azerbaijani community in Canada will hold a protest rally in front of Armenia`s embassy in Ottawa and Canadian Parliament.
