During the session held by the government yesterday, State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Cicek commented on the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia. "Turkey is responsible for its signature on Turkish-Armenian protocols," said he.
When a journalist asked, "Some statements are made from the Armenian side about the process between Turkey and Armenia that Turkish-Armenian process may fail. What is going to happen in the process about the fate of protocols?", Cemil Cicek said that Turkey is responsible of its signature on Turkish-Armenian protocols.
Cicek said, "But if these developments are undermined by external interventions, World community should record that. The reason for the impasse in the process, is the justified decision of Armenian constitutional court related to protocols. And of cource, we expected some clarification from Armenia related to this development." Stressing that Turkey is responsible of its signature on the protocols which was signed in Zurich, Cicek said, "But this cannot work unilaterally. Both sides should implement commitments."
