An American Expert in Center for American Progress, Michael Werz said that return of Turkey's ambassador to United States back to Washington will please everybody.
Following the passage of the resolution related to Armenian genocide allegations in the Foreign Affairs Committee of U.S. House of Representatives, Turkey recalled its ambassador to Washington Namik Tan to Ankara for consultations. Cancelation of some visits to United States and the impression that Turkish PM Erdogan will not attend to the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington caused concerns. Experts evaluated the reaction of Turkey against passage of resolution in the Foreign Affairs Committee as so harsh remembering that the resolution was passed from the same committee several times.
An American Expert in Center for American Progress, Michael Werz said that return of Turkey's ambassador to United States back to Washington will please everybody. Speaking to VOA news Turkish, Werz said, "Turkey's reaction was very harsh. Let's consider on other examples. China did not recall its ambassador to United States because US sold arms to Taiwan. Turkey resent its ambassador to United States now, and seeking for dialogue with its most important ally."
Commenting on the probability of Obama uttering the term "genocide" in his speech on April 24, Werz said, "It is not probable. Obama found a very sophisticated and diplomatical solution last year. This issue is something that should be solved in Turkey. So, i do not think that American President will intervene."
Most of people do not expect that Armenian resolution will be brought on the agenda of General Assembly. The basic issue that Americans attach importance is completion of the process between Turkey and Armenia. American officials made huge political investments for establishment of diplomatic relations between these countries.
