Giving an interview to Aksiyon magazine, American Congresswoman Susana Mendoza accused American parliamentarians who voted for the passage of so called Armenian genocide resolution of ignorance and said that U.S. parliamentarians who voted towards adoption of so called Armenian genocide in the Foreign Affairs Committee of U.S. House of Representatives cannot show Armenia on World map.
Mendoza said, "I learnt about adoption of Armenian resolution in the Foreign Affairs Committee of U.S. House of Representatives in Baghdad. I was disappointed with the news. It is not up to us, the problem should be solved by Turkey and Armenia." Mendoza, who served as an observer during elections in Iraq, knows the region very well and visited Turkey for two times on invitation of Niagara Foundation.
Stating that she is afraid that passage of Armenian resolution may damage Turkish-American ties, Mendoza accuses Senator and Parliamentarians who voted for passage of Armenian resolution of ignorance. "If you ask to the Parliamentarians who supported passage of Armenian resolution to show Armenia on map, they cannot. The decision is totally political," said she.
