Armenian lobby plans to put pressure on Azerbaijan via Russia

The Armenian diaspora intends to achieve opening of the Turkish-Armenian border, however, Baku’s principal position hampers this idea.

According to Hurriyet, co-chair of the Armenian-Turkish commission on economic cooperation Kayan Soyak told the newspaper that he will come to Moscow to influence Azerbaijan’s position via Russia. Washington is currently seeking a formula to neutralize the Azerbaijani influence on Turkey for these protocols to be ratified in the parliaments of the countries, according to the newspaper.

He said the most important is to neutralize the Azerbaijani position for the normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations.
