Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu gave interview to Italian “L'Espresso'da” weekly.
CNNTurk reported Davutoglu talked about Iranian, Turkish-Israeli, EU-Turkey and Armenian-Turkish ties.
Regarding the Iran’s issue, Davutoglu stated: “Neither Iran, nor Israel or some other states should have a nuclear arm. Nuclear arm shouldn’t be charged in the Middle East.”
Turkish FM stated it wrong that Western countries who are also charged with nuclear power threat Iran with some sanctions.
Davutoglu said Israel-Turkey ties used to be friendly until 2008, which have been spoiled by Gaza war.
“But I think those friendly ties could be recovered, and efforts shouldn’t be spare from each side to get them,” Turkish FM said.
Davutoglu said EU doesn’t know well Turkey, particularly his economic power.
Turkish FM has condemned the US and Sweden for approving the resolution on Armenian 'genocide', since the parliaments aren’t places where historic events should be assessed. “I say it not only as a minister, but as an intellectual.” Davutoglu stated that Turks and Armenians had been friendly living and that those ties shouldn’t be ignored. “We’re intended to continue it,” he said.
