'Recognition of Karabakh people’s for self-determination to facilitate Karabakh conflict settlement.'
The recognition and realization of the right of the Karabakh people for self-determination would facilitate the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, according to Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
"Armenia's position on the Karabakh issue has not changed. We have stated repeatedly, and co-chairs of OSCE Minsk Group are also aware that the main issue in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict is the recognition of the right of Karabakh people for self-determination and its implementation ", the Armenian FM told reporters Tuesday.
According to him, this is confirmed by the recent statement of President Serzh Sargsyan. Nalbandian believes that if this important issue is resolved, it will be easier to settle the rest issues.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in an interview with German publication Der Spiegel said that the Karabakh problem can be solved in hours, if Azerbaijan recognizes the independence of Karabakh.
