Erdogan and Sarkozy to discuss Turkey-Armenia relations

Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan and French President Nicolas Sarkozy will discuss a number of critical issues during the closing events of Turkish days in France, April 6-7, News.am reported.

 

In the course of April 7 meeting, officials plan to touch upon struggle against Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), as well as issues on PKK militants arrested by France and not returned to Turkey. Talks on Turkey’s membership to EU and Turkish-French economic relations are also on the agenda. Erdogan will attempt to persuade French President to remove obstacles to Turkey’s full membership to European Union.

 

According to Turkish Habergazete website, Armenia-Turkey reconciliation will be in the limelight of Erdogan-Sarkozy meeting.

 

Turkish Premier also intends to meet with representatives of local Turkish community.
