Turkish FM Reacts to EU Commissioner's Statements On Turkey's Armenia Policy

Turkish Foreign Ministry reacted to EU official who connected Turkey's EU bid to establishment of good relations with Armenia. Ankara administration said that Turkey does not need third parties to remind it its responsibilities.
Armenian issue, which caused strain in the relations of Turkey with United States and Sweden, caused another crisis with the EU. Ankara reacted to the statements of EU Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule, which he made during his visit to Yerevan.
Holding a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, Fule said that EU expects ratification of Turkish-Armenian protocols in reasonable time and without preconditions. "It is very important for every country to have good relations with its neighbours, within the frames of EU membership process," said he.
Ankara reacted Fule's statements which urges Turkey to make efforts in the process of normalization of relations with Armenia as a part of EU bid. The written statement that is made by the speaker of Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs reflected the reaction of Turkey to the statements. "Turkey played a strong political will in the process of normalization of relations with Armenia from the very begining, within the frames of its vision of regional peace and stability. Turkey does not need third parties to remind it its responsibilities."
