Armenians have already created their state in the Azerbaijan’s territory.
In our lands can not create any other Armenian state. President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev told this on 7th April during his speech at the Foreign Ministry of Estonia.
President notified that, Azerbaijan will not agree with it and this will never happen: “If Armenian side understand this early it will be good and for us and for them. And then in Caucasus can establish peace. Because without solving Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict at region can not realize any initiative and political project. They live in America, France and Russia. If they decide to define their destiny at that territory what can happen? How can react those countries? Armenians have already defined their destiny. Although they have created their state at the historical lands of Azerbaijan they have now Armenian state. It is clear that in 1918, after Azerbaijan’s independence, next day Azerbaijan Democratic Republic has decided that Yerevan city should be given by capital purpose to Armenia. Yerevan city was city of Iravan Khanate where lived Azerbaijanis. All the efforts which are purposed to pull off Nagorno Karabakh conflict from theme of common development at region or creating new relations are vain. It will not succeed. Because it is main problem and have to eliminate main problems. Azerbaijan has right to restore territorial integrity”.
According to head of the State, occupation of the land is not problem only for Azerbaijan, but also it is a problem of regional stability: “Because 20 percent territories of Azerbaijan which is known by international standarts are already 20 years under occupation of Armenian Armed Forces. They have realized ethnic cleaning politics against Azerbaijanis. They have procreated genocide in Khojaly. During that events have killed up to 600 citizens including woman and children by Armenian war criminals. It is pity that war criminals haven’t been punished, still. But I am hopeful that period will come and they will be condemned according to they action. As a result of ethnic cleaning politics about up to 750 thousand Azerbaijanis who lived not only in Nagorno Karabakh but also in surrounding regions were driven out from that territories and their homes were destroyed. These are results of Armenian aggression.
Results of this aggression haven’t eliminate, still. We are holding negotiations already 20 years. But there is no any result. Although Safety council of UN has accept for resolution demanding release occupied territories without any conditions Armenian Armed Forces continuing occupation of territories, still. What does it mean? It means that norms of international law don’t work. It means that organization’s which receives highest level resolutions – that is Safety Council UN’s resolutions is not fulfilling. Those right rubbers who don’t obey norms international laws still is not condemned. It is pity that we see that instead of condemning these aggressors is helping to the them”.
While speaking about history of occupation Azerbaijani territory President Ilham Aliyev notified that this process is lasting already 20 years: “ It must has an end. Their forces must be withdraw from Azerbaijani lands which known by international standards. The people who lives now in Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijanis who will return to there must live together by safety guarantee and by existing high autonomy status in world. This position is absolutely suitable for norms of international low. In the same time activities of the mediators and suggestions which are offering are reflecting it. Must be put an end to occupying Azerbaijani territories. Being independent of Nagorno Karabakh is not even theme of discussions. At the suggestions of mediators there is no such mechanism. Armenians sometimes refer to principle of specifying destiny. Sure that it is important principle of international law. But Armenians have already specified their destiny. If we follow this logic it means that Armenians will be able to specify their destiny everywhere where they live?! Because they live in some places and especially in co-chairman countries of the Minsk Group which bears responsibility for solution of the conflict.
Then Head of the State has said practical results of the activities of the mediators hoping seem later within the near future: “Because it is not acceptable for leader countries and co-chairman countries which are members of Safety council of UN to held ineffective negotiations within 20 years. Especially now it is Armenia’s term – do they accept mediators’ suggestion or not?! If they don’t accept suggestions, then I consider that negotiation process must be look through again and new stage has began. So I don’t want to keep your time more. Once more I would like to note that I am pleased the level of relations between our countries. I think it is suitable time.
We must show all of our efforts to define new areas which we will co-operate. For this we have strong will and potential. As how I notified at the meeting with Estonian President our economies are not compete. Vice verse, we can support each others. Our economies can complete each others. I consider that we can strong partnership by such political base and great historical heritage of relations between our nations and mutual respects. Those relations, regional corporation will be good for corporation between EU and Azerbaijan and will make situation more stable and prognosis.
