The normalization of the Turkish-Armenian ties lies with the resolution of the Karabakh conflict.

Vice speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Ziyafet Asgarov told reporters that both Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan have repeatedly made this statement. 'I think Turkey will insist on its position and defend Azerbaijan's interests at the meeting in Washington', he said, according to ANS TV channel.

Asgarov  believes that the achievement in the relations between Turkey and Armenia will be possible only in the case the Karabakh conflict is settled.
