A conference "Armenian genocide is a big lie" held in Gaziantep University, Turkey.

One of the lecturers of Gaziantep University, Mehmet Bicici told audience about the situation of ethnic Armenians in the period of Ottoman Empire and Turkish Republic. Stating that Armenians aim to illustrate Turkish people as mean and insert the term "genocide" in the history books, Bicici said, "Successful propaganda can be made through repetition. They do not give up repeating the propaganda of so called Armenian genocide."

Stressing that Armenians started rebellions during the last years of Ottoman Empire, Bicici said, "They were the ones who started rebellions, who massacred people in villages, who raped women, who cooperated with occupying forces and who transferred inteligence to the enemy. As a result of these actions, our government picked to displace Armenians. Of cource, it was hard to displace thousands of people from one region to another during the years of war. Therefore, it is normal that those people suffered of tough conditions."

Stressing that Turkish people do not make sufficient propaganda, Bicici said, "Armenians and pro-Armenian circles published 700 thousand treatise while we only published 40 which tells that the 1915 incidents were not genocide."
