In the framework of Washington hosted Global Nuclear Security Summit Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan had a meeting today with US Congressman Adam Schiff, President’s press service reported.
According to the source, President expressed gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Schiff for his constructive efforts to support Armenian 'genocide' recognition by the US Congress and for his supports to both Armenia and Karabakh.
Sargsyan, Clinton discuss Turkish rapprochement
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the sidelines of the Global Nuclear Security Summit yesterday.
The meeting discussed the prospects for Armenian-Turkish relations, the presidential press service said.
The secretary of state confirmed Barack Obama’s recommendation that the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations continue without preconditions.
Serzh Sargsyan and Hillary Clinton also discussed Armenian-American bilateral ties and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, a solution to which is being mediated by the OSCE's Minsk Group.
