Former parliamentarian Nidai Seven stated that Armenian genocide allegations is based on the Armenians' claim on Mount Agri.
Former parliamentarian from Nationalist Movement Party, Nidai Seven issued a written statement on the 92nd anniversary of liberation of Agri from the enemy occupation. Commenting on the Armenian genocide allegations, Seven said, "The biggest weaphon of imperialism targets the countries from inward. For hundreds of years, Armenian people lived under Ottoman rule in peace with Turkish people. Some certain imperialist countries are struggling to deceive Armenians with allegations of a genocide. Genocide allegations serves for the revival of Armenian diaspora which is spread all over the world and it is based on the Armenians' claim on Mount Agri."
Stressing that the real genocide was committed by Armenians against Turkish people, "We do not aim to bring historical hostilities back to life. But if we should mention of a massacre, it was Armenians who committed massacres. Especially people living in Eastern provinces suffered of these massacres. Armenian partizans who were deceived by Russian Tzar during the war, occupied whole Agri in 1914. After Russian army retreated in 1917, volunteer Armenian troops in Russian army committed a massacre in and around Agri with the ammo that Russians left behind."
