Nancy Pelosi: Tonight, We Are All Armenians

An event of commemoration on so called Armenian genocide held in U.S. Congress on April 21. Making a speech at the annual congressional commemoration, "Tonight we are all Armenians," said Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of U.S. House of Representatives.
Commemoration in U.S. House of Representatives started with the prayers of Armenian churchmen. It should be noted that the controversial event is hold days before the speech of U.S. President Barack Obama on April 24. It is not yet known if U.S. President will utter the word "genocide" during his speech this year adressing to 1915 incidents.
Besides about 200 members of Armenian community in United States, House Democratic Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Congressmen Frank Pallone, Brad Sherman and Adam Schiff attended to the meeting. Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of U.S. House of Representatives, Howard Berman, who did not spare efforts for passage of so called Armenian genocide resolution from the House committee, was also among the attendants.
According to the report of The Armenian Reporter magazine, U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi started her speech saying "Tonight, we are all Armenians!"
Stating that so called Armenian genocide resolution which was passed from the Foreign Affairs Committee of U.S. House of Representatives should be adopted by General Assembly, Pelosi said, "We are tired of the story being told us about why we should not adopt Armenian resolution. But we are not tired of struggling to reveal the truth."
Stating that they will not give up until Federal Government officially recognizes Armenian allegations, Pelosi did not adress to the issue if she will bring so called Armenian genocide resolution on the agenda of U.S. House of Representatives.
