Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Kadir Topbas said that his grandfather was killed by Armenians. "But there have never been hatred against Armenians in our family," said he.
Making a speech at the opening ceremony of 20th International Peace Park in Istanbul, Topbash told that the father of his mother was killed by Armenians and said, "But there have never been hatred against Armenians in our family. That was the situation in those years. Today, Nadya Tasel of Armenian origin is one of my advisers in Metropolitan Municipality."
Speaking about the years of war in Bosnia, Topbas offered establishment of the International Peace Park in Sarajevo, Topbas said, "Let's build similar places all over the world. Let's not fight, the sources of the World is enough for all of us."
