It is reported that also the documents that are prepared by Armenians denounce Armenian genocide allegations. Chief of History Department at Faculty of Science and Letters of Inonu University, Professor Salim Cohce said that he will introduce the documents to the Turkish public for the first time.
Attending a conference at Canakkale 18 Mart University, Professor Cohce said that the photo album that is prepared by Armenian Revolution Organization, "Houshamatyan Of The Armenian 1890-1914" shows Armenian gangs in cooperation with Russian military. Stating that the photo album tells the activities of ring leaders during the years of war, Cohce said, "Over the map in the album, it is clearly told which locations Armenian gangs attacked, how did they do it and against how many people. There are also photos of Armenians who were sent different locations in Europe. The most interesting thing is that Armenians were wearing the new dresses that are provided by Ottoman government. Would Ottomans provide these people new clothes if they were planning a massacre against them. And there aren't anyone sad in those photos. It is obvious why Armenians reject the offer of our government to open archives and make joint researches over 1915 incidents. This album proves that Armenians initiated rebellion against Ottomans and they cooperated with Russians who occupied the region".
Welcoming Turkish government's policies against Armenia, Cohce said that normalization of relations with Armenia is needed not because Armenia is so strong but becasue it is needed for Turkey's relations with European countries. Stating that Turkish government made significant steps to solve problems with Armenia, Cohce said, "The policy of zero problems with neighbours is very similar to the policy that Ataturk followed."
