E-mail Print PDF
Turkish leader comments on normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations.

'We need in silent diplomacy in the relations with Armenia', Turkish President Abdullah Gul told journalists in a parliament reception on April 23 – Day of National Sovereignty and Children, CNN Turk reports.

He said Turkey had open policy towards Armenia. 'Turkey’s foreign policy has very careful strategy. Turkey’s Caucasian policy is intended only for the stability in the region. Today’s status quo is not in favor of anyone. It needs to change this status quo and to secure peace and cooperation in the Caucasus. Therefore everyone should be careful. We need in silent diplomacy now. This policy is pursued for a long time'.

Gul added he didn’t think that the normalization process between Turkey and Armenia was stopped.
